This scarf has been designed by local artisans of the Banaras (now known as Varanasi) district. It is handmade and handwoven by local women artisans in Varanasi (the holy city in the State of Utter Pradesh in North India), using the Tanchoi handloom weaving technique, which involves weaving intricate patterns in dual or single colour.
