We love this coaster which has been designed and made by a small family-run manufacturer in the historic English city of the Potters, Stoke-On-Trent. The aesthetic design was inspired by the beautiful and colourful Scandinavian city of Copenhagen, with its splashes of colour. It's high quality and excellent finish reflects traditional craftmanship and technique. A must have for every home wanting a piece of Britain.

Folkland Barn Owl Coaster
Our artisans, Gillian and Mark’s adventure began in a small design studio in the early 80s in Stoke-on-Trent, UK, taking up commissions of various graphics, illustrations and textile designs. But working in a city, with its rich 400-year-old pottery heritage, soon inspired them to transform their ideas from paper to intricately designed finished bone china products.
Their work may reflect a contemporary design but they use traditional techniques to create every item. What’s admirable about them is that they have kept the traditions of the English potteries alive despite the decline of the local industry in Stoke-On-Trent.
They have been commissioned to work on various projects - designing and manufacturing bone china for many prestigious clients, including major department stores, large galleries and museums and retailers.
Our artisans are keeping alive the age-old skills and craftsmanship of the English Potteries. Every single item is lovingly handcrafted and made using a traditional process.
