  • Our artisan, Alice, was drawn to her life-long love for all things bright and creative since her childhood. Her inspiration comes from her memories of days digging into her grandmother’s stash of colourful quilting fabrics. Today, Alice has her own studio, situated in a barn conversion in the picturesque Cotswold hills. Surrounded by bright rolls of linens and silks, she works with her team to create amazing high-quality products, all conceptualised and handmade in her busy little workshop.

Liberty Fabrics’ Strawberry Thief is lustrously detailed and rich in colour – printed on Tana Lawn™ cotton. First printed in 1883, Strawberry Thief was part of a group of designs by William Morris featuring animals with flowers. Introduced as a furnishing fabric for Liberty in 1979, it depicts birds stealing fruit within Morris’s Oxfordshire garden.

Liberty of London’s Tana Lawn™ cotton portrays some of the most iconic prints and behaves like silk – ultra-fine, with a fluid hand-feel and intense depth of colour. Tana Lawn™ cotton is soft as well as durable, cooling as well as warming, and also machine washable, created through a bespoke process that has evolved over a century.
